Rapid Prompting Method (RPM) lessons are about teaching and here are a few things to keep in mind while using the Autistic Able lesson plans:
Consider prior to the lesson these 4 goals:
1. Tolerance (examples: sitting for 5 minutes or looking at the board for 2 words)
2. Skills (examples: choices, letter board, accuracy, or speed)
3. Communication (examples: deductive reasoning question, fill in the blank)
4. Education (example: interesting subject, age appropriate)
Objectives of the lesson: What do you want to accomplish with this lesson in light of the 4 goals?
Reflect after your lesson on things you felt when well, things you want to try next time, and things that need improvement. When you come across a bump we recommend video feedback with Lenae Crandall from www.heedrpm.com
